I acknowledge with gratitude that I live and work on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, known as Moh’kinsstsis in the Blackfoot language and now called Calgary. These are the ancestral lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, and Amskapi Piikani), the Îyâxe Nakoda (Goodstoney, Chiniki, Bearspaw), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. I honour all Nations—Indigenous and non-Indigenous—who call this land home
